A number of arts centres in the Highland & Islands feature exhibitions which often have Gaelic themes and stock crafts which draw on Gaelic cultural traditions for their inspiration. They tend to use Gaelic in their signage and marketing and more often than not they employ Gaelic-speaking staff. You can find out more about some of them by exploring the sites listed below.

- Proiseact nan Ealan - the National Gaelic Arts Project
The National Gaelic Arts Project has been to develop, design and pilot news Gaelic arts and cultural initiatives.
- Taigh Dhonnchaidh arts and music centre
Gaelic for ‘Duncan’s House’ an arts and music centre in Ness on the Isle of Lewis. It offers a wide range of activities that support the rich cultural, musical and artistic heritage of the Isles.
- An Tobar Arts Centre, Tobermory, Isle of Mull
An Tobar is the arts centre for Mull and Iona offering a full programme and facilties from March to December. It includes a cafe and gallery space and stages live music events, exhibitions,ceilidh evenings and music and dance classes.
- An Lanntair Arts Centre, Stornoway
An Lanntair is a lively arts centre in the centre of Stornoway whose staff are Gaelic speaking in the main. Many of An Lanntair's exhibitions draw on Gaelic culture and arts.
- The Museum of Islay Life
The Museum of Islay Life has a collection of over 1600 diverse objects,some 1000 books and over 3000 photographs. This collection helps paint a detailed picture of traditionally Gaelic-speaking island.
